Tai - Wow! This is great. I like how you went through and created all of the formulas. Having saved them will be an incredible time saver in the future. I would imagine that setting it up the first time would be the most time consuming. After that, it should fall into place faster and easier. If you have to add an extra area of assessment, how easy would it be to implement that into your excel document? Also, when the students change seats, will this affect their grades that have already been inputted or are the grades programmed to follow them? I don't know much about macros, but from your description, it sounds like they would greatly cut down on your time setting up this solution. Nice work.
I am really impressed with what you have done. Not only buying a brand new tablet for this project but all the hard work for your grade book. I'm glad to hear that it is working out for you and/or that you are working out the kinks. I'm am your very basic level techi so most of what you had to say went over my head but it sounds great. Good luck!
I like the thoroughness of your project Tai. You hit some bumps along the way, which I'm sure were frustrating, but you stuck with it and corrected the problem. I appreciate your initiative to write new software to help you with the work since you found a few limitations to the software you're using. Great forward thinking!
I wish you the best as you continue on with the project.
Toys R'Us...really!? Wow! I'm glad you got a great deal on the tablet! :)
I am very impressed with your project. I can't believe that you actually purchased the tablet! This must have been something you had been thinking about for a long time before you were even assigned this project for a course. I really like how authentic this project is for you. It is definitely something you will be able to use year after year, improving its use and function each year. I also commend you on writing all of those formulas in Excel. I have a little bit of experience with copying and pasting formulas in Excel but never starting from scratch. I really admire your dedication to this project.
